LaFayette Motorsports Park is proud to bring you the Compkart University, with the goal to Educate Youth as well as Adults in a motorsports driven platform in the areas of safety, technical know-how, and on track driving dynamics. The COMPKART educational platform provides detailed structure coupled with proven knowledge and a tiered curriculum that allows entrants of all ages and skill level the opportunity to scale through the entire course structure obtaining a wealth of knowledge and experience so they are ready to race or be more competitive when they do.
Course Brackets (Age Defined)
· Bracket 1 (5-7 yr. old) – Guardian Mandated
· Bracket 2 (8-13 yr. old) – Guardian Optional (Highly recommended)
· Bracket 3 (14-+ yr. old) – Guardian Optional
· Adults (18 yrs. and up)
*All first time participants under the age of 14 yrs. old must be accompanied by a guardian
Each ‘Bracket’ is defined by age range, which depending on when the entrants birthday is, adjustments can be made at the university’s discretion to move said ‘entrant’ up or down a bracket. The intent of the bracket is to categorize entrants within the same general age brackets recognized by the international governing body of Karting (CIK-FIA). Through a globally recognized age bracket, the COMPAKRT university strives to provide its sustaining curriculum which can be then utilized anywhere in the world.
As outlined, each bracket will have a detailed written course structure that is accompanied with on track physical training. Through a detailed merit system, entrants will receive a final ‘approval’ and certification of course completion, which will be recognized and required for each entrant to scale and graduate through the entire course program. Should the entrant not meet the merit criteria for course competition, they will have the option to take additional course(s) as outlined by the university in order to complete the necessary certification.
All COMPKART affiliate chapters follow the strict outline of education in addition to being fully certified by J3 Competition Inc. c/o COMPKART for authenticity. All affiliate chapters also communicate the data and course completion metrics to J3 Competition for an added level of certification.
